August itself needs specific handling. With coastal humidity at its annual peak, an interior repaint in a sea-facing apartment cures slowly even indoors. Good painters run the AC on dry mode throughout the job and between coats — never switch the unit off to 'save power' during a summer paint job, because still, humid air is exactly what causes a soft, tacky film that scuffs at the first touch.
