Expect the pre-summer sprint to be a seller's market for exterior work by late April. Two coats over sound, similar-coloured walls is the standard that quotes should be based on, plus spot-priming of filled patches. Covering a dark feature wall with white, or painting fresh gypsum, honestly needs a primer or extra coat, and a fair vendor will say so at the survey stage rather than charging a surprise on the day.
On villa elevations that take direct afternoon sun, infrared-reflective coatings measurably reduce surface temperature and the heat load your AC fights, and owners typically notice the difference on summer bills. It costs more per square metre than standard exterior emulsion, so it makes most sense on west- and south-facing walls and roofs, applied in spring before the heat arrives.
