The economics usually favour doing it yourself. Timing is the trap. The repaint has to happen after the movers empty the flat and before the handover inspection, which usually leaves a one- or two-day window in an apartment with the DEWA or SEWA account about to close. The honest difference between budget and premium emulsion shows up in coverage (fewer coats to hide), scrub resistance and how well the colour holds under UAE sunlight — not in how it looks the week it dries.
On sheen: full matt hides wall imperfections best and is the default for ceilings and bedrooms; washable matt or eggshell earns its keep in corridors, kids' rooms and kitchens; silk and semi-gloss are for doors, skirting and wet areas. In a dusty, humid climate, wipeability is not a luxury.
