Groups often book drips together: friends at a villa, wedding parties in a hotel suite, families visiting Dubai or sports teams. A licensed vendor can send one or more nurses so that several people are treated in one visit. The rules do not loosen for groups: everyone is screened privately, consents individually and uses their own sterile equipment, and the nurse-to-guest ratio is set by the provider for safety.

What it typically contains

  • Each guest's chosen drip — from the provider's menu, subject to that person's screening.
  • Separate sterile kits — one cannula, line and bag per person.
  • Enough nurses — the provider decides how many nurses are needed for safe supervision.

Formulations vary by provider. The final ingredients, doses and infusion rate are decided by the licensed clinician after assessing you, and may differ from this list.

Who usually asks for it

  • Friends and families staying together in a villa or apartment.
  • Wedding and event parties in hotel suites.
  • Sports teams and clubs after events.

Who should not have it, or must check with a doctor first

  • Anyone who appears intoxicated or unwell will be assessed separately and may be declined.
  • Group settings must still allow private health questions.
  • Children and pregnant guests should not be included in a wellness group booking.

What happens at the appointment

Share the number of people, their preferred drips and the venue in advance so the provider can send enough nurses and equipment. Prepare a calm room with seating and good lighting.

  1. You send the request on WhatsApp or in the app with your address, preferred time and any health conditions.
  2. A licensed clinician screens you: medical history, medicines, allergies and vital signs. They can decline or refer you elsewhere.
  3. If suitable, a nurse places a small cannula and stays with you for the whole infusion, adjusting the rate if needed.
  4. The cannula is removed, the site is dressed, and you are told what to watch for afterwards.

How often do people have it?

One-off occasions, by nature.

What affects the price

  • Number of guests and nurses.
  • Mix of drips chosen.
  • Venue — hotel, villa or yacht marina access can add complexity.
  • Timing, especially weekends and holidays.

Tamam does not publish fixed prices for medical services. The vendor confirms the cost for your exact request before you agree to anything.

Who is allowed to give IV drips in the UAE

IV therapy is a medical procedure. In the UAE it must be given by a licensed doctor or nurse working for a licensed healthcare facility, after an assessment. In Dubai, providers are licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), or by the Dubai Healthcare City Authority for facilities in Dubai Healthcare City. In Abu Dhabi, including Al Ain, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) regulates providers. In Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, private providers operate under the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) licensing framework. You can ask the nurse for their licence details at any time.
