NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a molecule every cell uses to make energy, and NAD+ infusions have become one of the most requested premium drips in Dubai. Providers pitch them for energy, focus and healthy ageing. The human evidence for IV NAD+ in healthy people is still limited, and the infusion has to run slowly because a fast rate commonly causes chest tightness, nausea or cramping. Expect a long appointment.

What it typically contains

  • NAD+ — dose varies widely between clinics; ask for the exact milligrams.
  • Fluid base — a larger volume of saline to allow a slow, tolerable rate.
  • Optional add-ons — some clinics combine NAD+ with B vitamins or glutathione in a separate step.

Formulations vary by provider. The final ingredients, doses and infusion rate are decided by the licensed clinician after assessing you, and may differ from this list.

Who usually asks for it

  • Adults interested in longevity and wellness trends.
  • Executives who have read about NAD+ and want to try it under clinical supervision.
  • People who have tolerated shorter drips well and are curious about premium options.

Who should not have it, or must check with a doctor first

  • Heart conditions, uncontrolled blood pressure and pregnancy need a doctor's decision.
  • Discomfort during the infusion — chest pressure, nausea, abdominal cramps — means the rate should be slowed; report it immediately.
  • Cancer history should be discussed with your oncologist, as research on NAD+ in that context is unsettled.

What happens at the appointment

Block out a long window: NAD+ infusions commonly take several hours, much longer than a vitamin drip. Wear comfortable clothes, eat beforehand and keep the bathroom accessible. The nurse adjusts the rate to your comfort throughout.

  1. You send the request on WhatsApp or in the app with your address, preferred time and any health conditions.
  2. A licensed clinician screens you: medical history, medicines, allergies and vital signs. They can decline or refer you elsewhere.
  3. If suitable, a nurse places a small cannula and stays with you for the whole infusion, adjusting the rate if needed.
  4. The cannula is removed, the site is dressed, and you are told what to watch for afterwards.

This is a longer infusion than most drips; plan to stay seated for an extended period.

How often do people have it?

Some clinics sell multi-session courses. There is no strong evidence for a particular schedule, so ask what the course is meant to achieve and how you would judge whether it worked.

What affects the price

  • NAD+ dose in milligrams, the largest single factor.
  • Length of nurse attendance, since infusions run for hours.
  • Single session versus multi-session course.
  • Home, hotel or office location.

Who is allowed to give IV drips in the UAE

IV therapy is a medical procedure. In the UAE it must be given by a licensed doctor or nurse working for a licensed healthcare facility, after an assessment. In Dubai, providers are licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), or by the Dubai Healthcare City Authority for facilities in Dubai Healthcare City. In Abu Dhabi, including Al Ain, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) regulates providers. In Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, private providers operate under the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) licensing framework. You can ask the nurse for their licence details at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Why does NAD+ take so long?

Running it quickly commonly causes uncomfortable symptoms, so nurses infuse it slowly. The time depends on dose and your tolerance.

Is NAD+ proven to slow ageing?

No. Laboratory and early human studies are interesting, but there is no proof that infusions slow ageing in people.

Can I work during the infusion?

Many people read or use a laptop while seated. You will need to stay near the stand and avoid sudden movement of the cannula arm.
