'Anti-ageing' drips are premium blends that may combine NAD+, alpha-lipoic acid, glutathione, vitamin C or CoQ10. They are sold in Dubai's wellness clinics and at-home services as part of longevity programmes. No IV blend has been shown to reverse ageing in people. The most useful thing a clinician can do is make sure each ingredient is safe for you and that you understand what is being claimed.
What it typically contains
- Antioxidants — combinations of glutathione, vitamin C and alpha-lipoic acid.
- NAD+ or CoQ10 — in some premium blends.
- Fluid base — saline.
Formulations vary by provider. The final ingredients, doses and infusion rate are decided by the licensed clinician after assessing you, and may differ from this list.
Who usually asks for it
- Adults in their 40s and beyond interested in longevity programmes.
- People already following an exercise, sleep and nutrition plan who want to add wellness treatments.
- Clients of private wellness clinics who prefer home appointments.
Who should not have it, or must check with a doctor first
- Each ingredient carries its own screening: G6PD for high-dose vitamin C, asthma for glutathione, blood sugar for alpha-lipoic acid.
- Cancer history should be discussed with your oncologist.
- Blood thinners, diabetes medicines and thyroid treatment need review.
What happens at the appointment
Because blends vary, the visit length depends heavily on whether NAD+ is included. Ask for the ingredient list in advance so the screening questions make sense.
- You send the request on WhatsApp or in the app with your address, preferred time and any health conditions.
- A licensed clinician screens you: medical history, medicines, allergies and vital signs. They can decline or refer you elsewhere.
- If suitable, a nurse places a small cannula and stays with you for the whole infusion, adjusting the rate if needed.
- The cannula is removed, the site is dressed, and you are told what to watch for afterwards.
How often do people have it?
Usually sold in courses. Ask what measurable outcome the course is meant to change; if no clear answer is given, that is useful information.
What affects the price
- Whether NAD+ is included, which lengthens the visit.
- Number and dose of antioxidants.
- Package size.
- Location.
Tamam does not publish fixed prices for medical services. The vendor confirms the cost for your exact request before you agree to anything.
Who is allowed to give IV drips in the UAE
IV therapy is a medical procedure. In the UAE it must be given by a licensed doctor or nurse working for a licensed healthcare facility, after an assessment. In Dubai, providers are licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), or by the Dubai Healthcare City Authority for facilities in Dubai Healthcare City. In Abu Dhabi, including Al Ain, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) regulates providers. In Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, private providers operate under the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) licensing framework. You can ask the nurse for their licence details at any time.
