Hair and nails (biotin) drip at home, hotel or office in the UAE

Biotin, zinc and B vitamins — useful mainly where a deficiency exists.

Hair and nail drips usually centre on biotin with zinc and other B vitamins. People ask for them when hair feels thinner or nails split easily. True biotin deficiency is rare, and hair shedding has many causes — iron, thyroid, hormones, stress, recent illness — so a doctor or dermatologist assessment and blood tests are often a better first step than a drip.

What it typically contains

  • Biotin (vitamin B7) — the signature ingredient.
  • Zinc — commonly added.
  • B-complex and vitamin C — in many versions.
  • Fluid base — saline.

Formulations vary by provider. The final ingredients, doses and infusion rate are decided by the licensed clinician after assessing you, and may differ from this list.

Who usually asks for it

  • Adults noticing increased hair shedding who are also seeing a doctor about it.
  • People with brittle nails who want to try supplementation.
  • Clients combining beauty treatments before an event.

Who should not have it, or must check with a doctor first

  • Biotin interferes with many laboratory tests, including thyroid and cardiac troponin tests; tell your doctor and lab before any blood test.
  • Sudden or patchy hair loss should be assessed by a doctor.
  • Kidney disease and pregnancy need clinical advice.

What happens at the appointment

A standard-length drip. Expect to be asked about planned blood tests, because biotin can distort results for a few days afterwards.

  1. You send the request on WhatsApp or in the app with your address, preferred time and any health conditions.
  2. A licensed clinician screens you: medical history, medicines, allergies and vital signs. They can decline or refer you elsewhere.
  3. If suitable, a nurse places a small cannula and stays with you for the whole infusion, adjusting the rate if needed.
  4. The cannula is removed, the site is dressed, and you are told what to watch for afterwards.

How often do people have it?

Hair and nails grow slowly, so providers may suggest a series. Ask what change you should expect and over what time; avoid long commitments without a diagnosis.

What affects the price

  • Biotin and zinc doses.
  • Combination with other beauty ingredients.
  • Package versus single session.
  • Optional blood tests for iron, thyroid or vitamin D.

Who is allowed to give IV drips in the UAE

IV therapy is a medical procedure. In the UAE it must be given by a licensed doctor or nurse working for a licensed healthcare facility, after an assessment. In Dubai, providers are licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), or by the Dubai Healthcare City Authority for facilities in Dubai Healthcare City. In Abu Dhabi, including Al Ain, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) regulates providers. In Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, private providers operate under the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) licensing framework. You can ask the nurse for their licence details at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Does biotin regrow hair?

Only where a biotin deficiency exists, which is rare. Other causes of hair loss need different treatment.

Why mention lab tests?

Biotin can make some blood tests read falsely high or low. Stop and tell the lab, following your doctor's advice, before testing.

Should I see a dermatologist?

For persistent or patchy hair loss, yes. A home doctor visit through Tamam can be a starting point.
