Prepare an Abu Dhabi commercial relocation brief

A commercial move needs clear ownership of packing, collection and delivery. Build the request around an identifiable inventory and destination plan so providers can assess the work without guessing what is included.

Availability, scope and commercial terms are confirmed individually. No work or provider is guaranteed by this page.

Define what the move must deliver before requesting a vehicle

A commercial packing-and-moving enquiry in Abu Dhabi should describe the transfer your organisation needs to complete, not simply the size of a vehicle. Moving an office, stockroom or occupied business can involve different owners, destinations and handover responsibilities. A useful brief states what is moving, who prepares it, who releases it and who accepts it at the destination. Those decisions allow providers to assess the actual work.

List collection and delivery addresses separately, even when they belong to the same organisation. An Abu Dhabi portfolio may involve different building contacts and access arrangements at each premises. Confirm the actual entrances, loading arrangements and authorised contacts instead of assuming that approval at the origin also covers the destination. This guide describes procurement preparation, not a promise of access, capacity or a moving date.

Create an inventory that distinguishes items from assumptions

Use identifiable item groups and record relevant dimensions or condition where known. Separate furniture, packed boxes, equipment and items requiring assessment. Mark what will remain, what has another destination and what your organisation will handle itself. Do not describe everything as miscellaneous contents if particular items need different handling or authority. An honest unknown is more useful than an invented measurement.

Give the provider enough information to decide whether a site assessment is needed. Photographs can support the brief when you have permission, but should not expose confidential documents, screens or personal material. Identify sensitive equipment or records without sending their contents. Discuss any item outside an ordinary move separately; do not assume that a broad moving service includes every type of material or specialist task.

Choose packing responsibility item by item

Distinguish packing-only, transport-only and combined packing-and-moving work. If your team packs boxes, agree how they will be labelled and which uncertainties the mover needs to inspect before accepting them. A closed box does not by itself establish its condition, contents or suitability for the proposed move. If the provider packs, define the included materials, items and preparation boundaries in the proposal.

Ask whether dismantling, reassembly, positioning and removal of packing materials are included or excluded. Identify who will disconnect and reconnect equipment through the appropriate responsible parties. Do not let a furniture move silently become an electrical, plumbing or IT installation project. If specialist coordination is needed, describe it as a separate dependency rather than assigning it to whoever arrives first.

Use destination labels to prevent an avoidable second move

Agree labels that identify a destination room, zone or responsible team without exposing confidential information. A box that says office is ambiguous when several teams are relocating. Give the delivery contact the same destination plan as the collection team. Confirm who can resolve a missing label or a changed room allocation instead of allowing the crew to guess where property belongs.

Consider a hypothetical office whose meeting tables are going to a new premises while archived boxes are going to storage. A single instruction to move everything to the new office would conflict with the intended delivery. Separate inventory groups and destination acceptance contacts make the split visible before loading. The example illustrates a coordination decision, not a claim that Tamam automatically supplies storage or inventory software.

Plan custody and exceptions at both ends

Identify the people authorised to release and receive the property. Record which items or groups are handed over, relevant condition observations and anything not collected. Agree how an exception will be raised if the inventory and actual contents differ. Keep a reported concern separate from a confirmed conclusion about responsibility. A signature on an unclear list is not a substitute for an understandable handover.

At delivery, check the agreed destination groups and record incomplete, disputed or deferred items. Do not treat arrival of the vehicle as proof that all property has been delivered and positioned as agreed. Clarify the provider's actual process and terms for raising concerns before approving the service; do not assume a universal insurance arrangement, compensation amount or reporting deadline.

Coordinate readiness, storage and changed instructions

Check whether the destination can receive the move before collection is confirmed. If access, fit-out work or internal decisions remain unresolved, tell the provider what is pending. Temporary storage, if required and available, needs a separate discussion about the accepted items, custody, access and later delivery. Do not assume it is included merely because the destination is not ready.

Keep changes to dates, inventory, destinations and packing responsibility visible in a revised scope. Explain how proposed changes will be assessed and approved without inventing charges or capacity promises. Ask the responsible contact to confirm the current version before work proceeds. A plan can remain provisional while dependencies are unresolved; describing it accurately is better than claiming the whole relocation is settled.

Send Tamam a commercial relocation brief

Prepare your organisation's name, actual Abu Dhabi collection and delivery locations, inventory summary, packing responsibilities, access contacts and intended sequence. State whether storage, dismantling, reassembly or specialist coordination needs separate assessment. Include your preferred timing as a request, not a confirmed booking, and show any dependency that affects readiness. Share only information you are authorised to provide.

Send the project brief to Tamam on WhatsApp at +971 50 601 1938. This is a commercial buyer enquiry, not a vendor application. Ask for the proposed scope, exclusions, availability and terms to be confirmed against the actual move. The brief helps explain what you need; it does not guarantee a vehicle, storage space, price, completion date or uninterrupted business operation.

Practical questions

Can we request moving without packing?

Yes, describe transport-only work clearly and explain who packs, labels and prepares the items. The provider still needs to assess suitability and confirm the accepted scope.

Does a move include equipment reconnection?

Do not assume so. Separate dismantling, reassembly, positioning and any electrical, plumbing or IT tasks. Confirm appropriate responsible parties and the actual included work.

What if some items have a different destination?

Create separate inventory groups with destination labels and receiving contacts. Give collection and delivery teams the same plan and record changes before loading.

Is storage automatically included if the new site is not ready?

No. Storage needs its own availability and scope discussion, including accepted items, custody, access and later delivery. Explain readiness gaps before confirming collection.
